Dens Metals Ltd was established in 1960
and following a major investment programme was relocated
in 2003 to a purpose built 1500m3 factory on the eastern
outskirts of Dundee.
Three new casting units were installed
based on the original Delta Encon/ASARCO design but modified
and updated by Dens Metals. In addition the company uses
a Rautomead 750 vertical upcaster for smaller diameter material.
These
investments have increased the company’s capacity
both in terms of volume and the range of product profiles
produced, as well as improving the product integrity and
manufacturing efficiency.
Throughout the years of expansion
the company’s philosophy
has remained that of total commitment towards giving customers
the product they want, when they want them, and at a competitive
price.
