In order to service these Industry sectors Dens Metals holds circa 250 tonnes of continuous cast bronze stock covering a comprehensive range of sizes and alloys.

Advancing Continuous Casting Capabilities

Dens Metals incorporates the best of accepted continuous casting methods with innovative technology. The casting plant now comprises four independent units all capable of producing solid and cored material. Three of these units are a development of the original Delta Encon/Asarko Continuous Casting System and are suitable for producing sizes from 7/16"" dia up to 6. 3/8" dia over a limitless range of profiles.

The fourth unit specialises in casting small diameter material from 7/16" dia to 1.1/4" dua to exceptionally tight tolerances. Material produced from this machine is ideally suited to machine shops utilising automatic bar feed.

Our casting process allows us to cast exceptionally thin walls (as low as 9%) and very tight tolerance outside diameters which reduces the weight of material required to be purchased for the production of component parts. We also have the ability to cast bespoke alloys which include up to 20% Tin, Lead or Nickel.
